More about Annies Cottage
Annies Cottage is a delightful, refurbished cottage offering lots of charm and character with wooden floors, beamed ceilings and traditional latch doors. The wood burner in the living room creates an inviting and welcoming ambience. The cottage is in a terrace of four cottages dating back to the late 1800s and boasts its own front and rear gardens.
The sleepy village of Edinbane lies between Portree and Dunvegan, on the shores of Loch Greshornish making it an ideal base for touring the island. There are two country inns within walking distance which offer regular live music sessions and busy bistro-style restaurants. There is a lovely play park just 2 minutes from the cottage, ideal for the little ones. The village is only a 15-minute drive from Portree, the island's capital, where you will find a variety of shops, the Fingal Centre which has a swimming pool, climbing wall and a gym and the Aros Centre which hosts the RSPB Sea Eagle Exhibition, cinema and various music events. There are also boat trips to be enjoyed from the harbour. Other historic sites to visit on the island include Dunvegan Castle, home to the Clan MacLeod, Dun Beag broch, the Talisker Distillery, Giant MacAskill Museum and the Skye Museum of Island Life.
